How to request Google Business Profile reinstatement

By Ian Murphy · Last reviewed October 26, 2026

Reinstatement requests go through Google's official appeals process. Here's how to prepare a complete one.

Before you start

Make sure the profile follows Google's guidelines and every document shows the same business name and address.

Filing the request

Use the appeals tool linked from your suspension notice. Describe your business plainly, upload the evidence it asks for, and keep your confirmation.

Video verification

If Google asks for a video, show your signage, the street, and proof of management such as unlocking the door or opening a register, in one continuous take.

If it's not approved

Read the decision, fix any remaining issue, and use any second-review option Google offers. The Business Profile community forum is another official place to ask for help.
